Nato nel 1973 in Germania, si è laureato in Traduzione all’Università di Heidelberg (italiano e francese), lavorando poi per quasi 25 anni come traduttore, interprete e docente di lingue.
Tra il 2000 ed il 2015 ha lavorato al Goethe-Institut Frankfurt come insegnante di tedesco, anche per la Banca Centrale Europea. Nel 2007, 2012 e 2013, ha vissuto due esperienze africane, insegnando tedesco al Goethe-Institut di Yaoundé e allo Sprachlernzentrum Douala nel Camerun. Manuel si è trasferito in Tunisia nel 2015 per insegnare nuovamente al Goethe-Institut mentre nel 2017 ha trascorso sette mesi ad Hanoi, in Vietnam, insegnando tedesco. Dopo quasi un anno a Francoforte, si è trasferito a Milano, dove ha continuato a tenere corsi di tedesco sempre presso il Goethe Institut. Nel 2021, a causa della crisi provocata dalla pandemia, ha deciso di tornare in Germania, per poi andare in Marocco (Marrakech e Casablanca). Dal 2022 lavora regolarmente per il Goethe-Institut di Friburgo in Brisgovia.
A gennaio 2026 si trasferirà a Trieste per completare il team di CulturArteffetto.

Born in 1973 in Germany, he graduated in Translation from the University of Heidelberg (Italian and French), and then worked for nearly 25 years as a translator, interpreter, and language teacher.
Between 2000 and 2015, he worked at the Goethe-Institut in Frankfurt as a German teacher, including for the European Central Bank. In 2007, 2012, and 2013, he had two African experiences, teaching German at the Goethe-Institut in Yaoundé and at the Sprachlernzentrum in Douala, Cameroon. Manuel moved to Tunisia in 2015 to teach again at the Goethe-Institut, and in 2017 he spent seven months in Hanoi, Vietnam, teaching German. After nearly a year in Frankfurt, he relocated to Milan, where he continued teaching German at the Goethe-Institut. In 2021, due to the crisis caused by the pandemic, he decided to return to Germany, and later moved to Morocco (Marrakech and Casablanca). Since 2022, he has been working regularly for the Goethe-Institut in Freiburg im Breisgau.
In January 2026, he will move to Trieste to join the CulturArteffetto team.
